From Coby Michael of The Poisoner’s Apothecary comes the 2nd Botanica Obscura Conference. This year’s event is a week long and features presentations from Thomas Hatsis, Harold Roth, the Seed Sistas, S. Connolly, Eimi OstaraMoon, Amy Blackthorn, and many other herbal and occult notables.

I’ll be among the presenters this year, speaking about two of my favorite topics: Dionysus and entheogens. We’ll look at the role of psychoactive drug use in the Dionysian rites and touch on their place in Ancient Greek cults and religion.

I was delighted to be invited and can’t wait to hear the presentations from all of the other presenters. I’ll share more details as the event schedule becomes available.
