Samhain is the night when the veil between worlds falls away and we can commune with our ancestors and spirits. Samhain is the doorway between the living and the dead and we honor them on this most sacred holy day. Many witches celebrate with dumb suppers, leaving special offerings to our ancestors and deities we are particularly close to. Samhain occurs during Scorpio season, sharing Scorpio's predilection for mysteries, secrets, and deep inner exploration of our dark sides. Samhain is when we begin our descent into the dark half of the year, and a time when our ancestors would have been enjoying the fruits of the last of the summer harvest, and a time when they would have been thinking about the long winter to come and the scarcity of the cold months ahead.

My herbal blend for this candle includes dried apples, calendula petals, thyme to better see the Fae, blessed thistle, hawthorn berries, hazel wood, honey locust thorns, cinnamon, and other fruits, herbs, resins and botanicals associated with Samhain and autumn. While this candle has no fragrance added to it, it is particularly aromatic because of the cinnamon and apples in the herbal blend.

These candles are hand dipped. Each pair of candles is unique.

DO NOT LEAVING CANDLES BURNING UNATTENDED. Candles must be placed on a heatproof surface and wicks must be kept trimmed to 1/4 inch to prevent uneven burning and to prevent herbs from burning.
