I love the artemisia family of herbs and consider them all lunar, since they’re sacred to Artemis. I combined homegrown mugwort, wormwood and sage with big sage brush I foraged in San Cristobal New Mexico and added copal, my favorite lunar resin. There’s also a little jasmine and ylang ylang essential oil added to soften the herbaceous scent of the wormwood. This might be classified as a flying ointment, since the thujone content is high, and I use it to facilitate spirit flight, especially paired with the mugwort rose elixir. A dab is plenty if you aren’t planning on flying to the sabbat, but to get a noticeable effect, you’ll want to really smear it on. I love the scent so I’m going to rub it all over my chest, throat, third eye, and feet. Wear it as an act of devotion to Artemis and to other lunar deities. I like it for signaling that I’m open for invocation or evocation, a sort of offering up of my body to allow deity to speak to or through me.
