Hekate is generally assumed to be an Ancient Greek goddess, but her roots are much older. Heqet from Ancient Egypt is a goddess associated with fertility and magick, and evidence of a Hecate cult in Anatolia (present day Turkey) exists. Whether she's Greek, Egyptian, Anatolian, or an amalgamation of all three goddesses, Hekate is a goddess who is hard to categorize. While she's probably best known for her dark attributes (magick, the moon, night, necromancy, and reigning over the souls of the dead), Hekate is also a goddess of protection, fertility, and childbirth and in Ancient Greece, she was considered a champion of the people. As a Titan, she fought against the Gigantes, on the side of the Gods on Mount Olympus, earning herself a place as a sort of honorary Olympian.

Prairie Fire's Hekate hand dipped beeswax candle is my offering to her. Herbal blend is aged for one full lunar cycle and can be used as an offering, for Underworld rituals, moon magick, fertility and protection magick and all Hekatean rituals particularly the Oxuthumia and Deipnon rituals.
