Cernunnos Handmade Beeswax Candles
Cernunnos Handmade Beeswax Candles
He's been called Lord of wild beasts and God of wild places; Julius Caesar called him Dis Pater - Lord of Death. He appears on the Gaulish-Thracian silver worked Gundestrup Cauldron, found in Denmark and dated around 150 BCE, wearing antlers and holding a horned serpent, surrounded by deer, boars, and other woodland creatures.
He is associated with the Underworld, Pluto, Jupiter Cernenus, and the Irish hero Conall Cernach and he rules over birth (Yule), marriage (Beltaine), and death (Samhain). He also rules over hunting, rutting, dying, regeneration and the fecund sacredness of nature.
Prairie Fire's Cernunnos candles are made of raw beeswax, hemp and/or cotton wicks, plant based dyes, and herbs, resins, and other botanicals. The herbal blend for Cernunnos includes heather flowers, meadow sweet, mandrake, vetiver, mosses, lichens, oak leaves and other woodland botanicals.
Do not leave candles burning unattended. Burning candles must be places on a heat proof surface. Wicks should be trimmed to 1/4 to prevent uneven burning and possible fire.
This purchase is for one pair of Cernunnos Beeswax Ritual candles. Each candle measures approximately 8 inches long and 1 inch wide at the base.
