Beltaine is a Celtic pagan cross quarter festival that marks the midway point between the Spring equinox and the Summer equinox, marking the beginning of summer. Fertility rites, sex, sacrifice, bonfires and marriage are all associated with Beltaine.

Do not leave burning candles unattended. When candles are lit, they should be placed on a heat proof surface and wicks should be kept trimmed to 1/4 inch to ensure even burning and to reduce risk of fire.
